Beyond horrible!! I am certain that ISNetworld is bad for my health! Are there ANY good reviews out there? I think if they are going to charge me (a lot of money!) to get all of my safety policies into their view of "compliance" then they should just write my policy for me. No matter what I submit to them they seem to want to change everything to what they deem appropriate. So just write it for me! At least I would feel like I am getting something out of the deal besides a headache and high blood pressure!

Review by Frustrated Effort

We tried this "service" for a year. The result was a lot of chewed aspirin and wasted time and sweat. The concept of a compliance database has merit - simply update as needed and add customers access if they request it. However, ISNetworld has proven to be amazingly horrid in using this plan.

- The CSRs are merely script readers and cannot carry on a coherent conversation beyond their script.

- Their insurance requirements are ridiculous. (They blame their clients, yet the same clients have never asked for that much before. In fact one of their former clients told me that ISN jacked the insurance requirements without the client's approval or even notifying them). Pointing out that some of their requirements exceeded my state's maximum limits was a fruitless endeavor.

- They will not accept an answer that we don't do anything a requested procedure covers. They want the procedure. And you must provide page numbers for each of their questions showing where this info is - which tells me they don't even (or can't) read procedures.

- They demand OSHA 300's. The 300A's are no problem, but 300's list employee names, medical diagnosis, treatment, and outcome - all protected under HIPPA. They don't get that one.

I could go on, but you get the picture.

After a year, we've dropped them. Of the three customers we had that used them, one has dropped them, citing they couldn't get any of their contractors cleared through them, one simply ignores them and accepts the COI and other info we give them directly, and the third has just signed up and are probably getting a rude education in how useless ISN is.

ISNetworld is as bad as everyone says. Incompetence reigns supreme. Usually, when I pay someone, they are in service to me, but ISNetworld has invented the perfect scam. They get to play god with my small business. They require things that OSHA doesn't even require of me. I have to answer questions just to check off a box, basically falsifying records, which I never would do, except when it means keeping my client or not. Right now, I just checked my status and it's an "F", because they requested COI update, accepted it when submitted, changed my grade, then turned around and said my insurance had expired and changed my grade back. I have all this documented using their OWN system. They can't or simply won't look at it to see that I'm in compliance. So, I get to spend more time with a follow up phone call tomorrow, and I already know that it's not going to be their fault. I wish the same aggravation on them as they have caused me. By the way, I'm a sole proprietor. No employees. Jeez!

Review by ISNbusinessplan

Whoever thought up the ISN business plan is really raking in the dough! Charge a big company a lot of money to make smaller companies miserable and make the smaller company PAY to be miserable...
Play god with approvals.... understand nothing, know nothing, memorized replies to questions.... and when the questions get tough, blame it on the Client!

ISN is Nothing more than the business form of BULLYING.

The "so-called "benefits"?
OMG the possibilities! 300 clients... 50000 contractors... yeah, I'm gonna get more business from that ratio. You think?
AND how is spending HOURS and HOURS on their web site supposed to improve my Safety? Haven't figured out that rational.
The ONLY thing ISN improves/benefits/has ANY positive effect on.... is the $$ in their own pockets.
SO kudos to the inventor of ISNetworld.... you came up with a scam and sold it to corporations around the world, and convinced them to force it on us minions.
Wish I had thought of that!!!!! Oh... no wait. I couldn't operate a business like yours. I have integrity, and understand ethics!

If I could do negative stars I would. BUT...Ordering is excellent because they take your money right away. No waiting for approval for that!

ISNetworld is the worse that has ever happened to our company. There is no understanding on their part as to what we do and how large of a company we are. We are a small family owned business. We do all of our work standing on the floor, we speak to each other in normal tones. But, yes, we have to write all kinds of safety programs that we don't need and we don't even understand. Guess what we employ grown men, not children, if they need bandaid they get one from the first aid cabinet we don't annual training on putting on bandaids. Our discipline program consists of the owner firing you if you are so stupid you can't work for us. That statement by the way is not in "compliance" with ISNetworld. If you are a hiring company please do not put your vendodrs and suppliers through all of this. We will never be able to recoup all the money we have spent on ISNetworld. We had to increase our insurance, pay for their services and have spent hundreds of hours trying to comply. I don't think we ever will. We have decided to no longer work for the "hiring company". We just can't afford it.

Review by Service Company

I subscribed to PIC Organizer by force of a client and was able to meet all of the requirements with my current safety policy and insurance docs. ISNetworld was forced on me by another client and so I subscribed. The problems started when I had to answer nearly 1000 questions in reference to my programs and business. It took hours of my time and was unnecessary. I finally found the section relating to insurance and was taken aback by the ridiculous insurance requirements being requested. Our company works for several state agencies and Dept of Energy sites and the insurance requirements requested were far beyond anything the government required. I am still not in compliance because the costs to meet those requirements, coupled with the cost of the subscription to ISNetworld, exceeds the profit margin from that customer. This program is great if you want to dump your profits into the waste basket of ISN and spend days requesting variances, writing programs that have nothing to do with your company, and attempting to get a phone number to the corporate office of your client so you can deal directly.

Review by Safety First

Having used both sides of the ISNetworld service (owner client and vendor), I can testify that this business is a complete waste of time and money! I cannot imagine what voodoo they are using to sell corporate offices on their services, but those owner clients are not benefiting from that relationship.

This system is all smoke and mirrors; ISN has ZERO credibility. I have had ISN Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) tell us to 'just put it on paper and we'll count it' to check off a box in the system. They have downgraded contractors for exceeding safety requirements - they literally just want the box checked and the bare minimum done. ISN want you to write programs for work you don't do and cannot read the programs that you have in place. Whenever they don't understand something, the ISN response is for you to "change your corporate policy" - as if that were as simple as editing a word document.

The CSRs have virtually no understanding of safety/ risk management. They cannot answer questions or use problem solving skills, and it would be easier to give yourself a root canal than to be able to speak with someone in management at ISN. The turnover in the CSR position is extremely high/frequent as well!

The cost to participate is ridiculously high as compared to similar systems and the service is far poorer. Any complaint or suggestion for improvement is completely ignored. As a company that is working hard to protect our employees and our clients, this system is a frustrating distraction that only gets in the way of good performance.

ISNetworld has a heck of a business model--charge clients 1,000s of $ AND have the client do all the data entry work. You even have to tell them the page # of where your program references their requirement. Also, you will have to write programs that do not even apply to your company just to satisfy their requirements because of some box you checked on services you provide. Case in point--I had to write a crane safety program even though we do not even own or use cranes--STUPID!!! I'm surprised I did not have to submit a airplane pilot training program and aircraft maintenance program despite the fact my company has neither. I'm sure this will be the next update notice!
