The system that is in place is not geared for the Industrial Maint. and construction industry. It does not allow for any time frames to respond to a change in "GRADING" by their "Little review committee". Which can take 3 to 4 days , according to their assistants who have NO Authority" to correct "anything" This is just one example: I had eight men on sight at Nestle on a Monday morning and my supt. was told by our Nestle Engineer that our grade was changed to an F from an A. When I contacts ISN they said my auto ins. was not current. After my Agent called to see what they were viewing, it turned out that one truck policy was showing expired. WE informed them that that truck had been sold and was no longer in our company fleet. consequently we had not renewed that particular policy. It took four days to have this issue corrected by ISN during which time I had to pay my crew salary, per diem, and housing. It costs me not ISN not Nestle. Had we not been in the middle of a contract I would have left the job. Even though I have been doing work at that plant since1984 !!!. ISN has many more convoluted problems with their system and to date has addressed NONE OF THEM!!!! Their higher management reflects an arrogant , self-serving corporate environment.

Our company was forced into using ISNetworld, as a subcontractor of one of their contractors. From the awful, impossible to navigate website and documentation submittal portals, to the repetitive questions that have nothing to do with our business, to the nit-picking of where our company name is on our documents, I have found NOTHING that is worth ANYTHING. Our safety department and our IT department are both entrenched in pointless work to review and revise tiny sections of all of our documents to satisfy their absurd requirements. We are also concerned with the way they treat sensitive and private data. To be forced into paying for this laughable "service" is nothing short of extortion. Entire companies exist to help you with ISNetworld compliance. Go ahead, contractors, keep letting them pull this scam on your subcontractors.

I have dealt with ISNetworld for four years as a contracting company. I just started working for a new company, and we have only been in business for six months. As such, we do not have safety statistics or WCB records from before that time. Even though we cannot possibly produce records because we have not been in business long enough, ISNetworld has listed us as "restricted" because I cannot provide these statistics or documents. When I talk to them, they tell me to get our customer to give us a “variance approval”. I have talked to the customer, but they have no idea how to do this. ISN could take care of this if they wanted to, but they simply refuse to help. To the contrary, Complyworks has worked with me to clear these hurdles, immediately! Complyworks is a wonderful company to deal with, and they provide a far superior service. To any company considering using ISNetworld, I would suggest that you forget them! If you are with them, leave them! I doubt you would run your company the way that ISN runs their company, or in the horrible manner that they treat their customers (contractors). I would suggest that you move to a better provider, such as Complyworks or PICS. You will gain nothing from working with ISN, unless you don’t care in the least about your contractors. The whole purpose of ISN is to help ensure that your contractors have a great safety program. Well, they do nothing to help ensure that. Not one darn thing! If you don’t want to look over your contractor’s safety program for yourself, then use the services of PICS or Complyworks. The only thing you will gain in using ISNetworld is that you will probably end up losing the service of a good contractor, who refuses to cater to ISN's silliness...

Our company is client required to subscribe to ISNetworld. We have 56 clients, are and have been in good standing since 2005. We are seeing an uptick in hiring clients being persuaded by ISN to do training through their portal.. However, the ISNetworld training portal lacks ease of use or integrity. I went in myself, followed the instructions in order to watch the video and take the test myself. The training video never populated for me to watch, yet it showed that I had completed it and allowed me to print out a certificate! I went round and round with several ISN customer service reps and they could not tell me why or how this could take place. Their training portal is sub-par at best and fraudulent at worst. Any safety professional that requires contractors to attempt to train anyone through their portal has been duped by ISN once again, and has destroyed the integrity of any legitimate program they may have.

I work a lot in the system helping people get through the complications of this system. The biggest thing I see is that the tell people not to reach out to companies for help which is completely foolish of them. We help many people through the process for next to nothing in cost making there job easier. But what I see that is most disturbing is that once the contractors get signed up to a system that is suppose to help them be safer and more safety oreantated the majority of the people never get their accounts completed and are still working on site no safer or less safer then they were before they signed up. It's seems to be about taking the payment for the subscription and then they can work. Not,to many of their clients are holding their contractors to being fully compliant to work on their sites. So,sign up and your good to work even though your not at a passing grade. How is that helping. Makes no sense to me...

If you want to pretend to be safer by filling out thousands of questions, writing policies that have nothing to do with your core business, and being less several thousand dollars; ISNetworld is the company for you. These people do not guide you into a better safety program, they do not teach you how to make your policies better, and they do not help you answer the thousands of questions your customers ask of you. They are also a terrible advocate for small business. You would think for the thousands of dollars they suck out of you that they would try to make your job easier. Instead, they make sure that you will need a consultant to get through the mess they design. I think we have spent at least $15,000 to get this stupid program up and running (with no help from them). Unfortunately, they have sucked in our customers to drink the kool aid and have mostly forced us into this program. I would pretty much suggest, don't do this until you have to. Push back till they prove they are able to help you instead of them holding your customers hostage.

A complete and utter scam. Very repetitive and has nothing to do with the actual HSE program. They also have access to a lot of private info with little or no consumer protection.

All the statements I've read here about ISNetworld are completely consistent with our own experience. Our attempt to gain compliance was the same as others experienced. Our commercial insurance carrier (one of the top three) even had some very non-flattering comments regarding the ISNetworld requirements. Ultimately I advised our customer that if they wanted us to provide the service of maintaining compliance through ISNetworld, we would be happy to do so but will need a purchase order to cover our time and fees up front. It definitely made them do a double take since they were among my first customers when I started my company and I've been in business for over 15 years. Anyway we've worked too hard to stay in business and we will not waste another minute of our time or another dime on this silliness as there are too many companies out there who are looking for good contractors. Now I don't want to end on a negative note so I'd like to close by saying that I will recommend ISNetworld to all my competitors...
